Heartbreaking, terrifying, I almost cried but don’t get it wrong this was no terrible thing. Witnessing Detroit’s talent felt so good that it hurt!
The Endangered Creations were not lying about “Detroit’s Best Kept Secrets.” In fact, Detroit is its own best kept secret. This event embodied so much harmony that people in the building had to hold on to their chairs to keep their soul from jumping out.
This live documentary was no joke people. Cameras were rolling, lights were flashing, and the vibe was undeniable. The host, Sparrow, was quick to let us know that he was about perfection; he got on stage and started a beautiful poem and right in the middle he stopped the cameras to tell his guitarist that his music was too loud, which definitely caught the audience off guard, but kept true to Sparrow's promise of perfection.
It seemed like every artist that hit the stage last night had an alter-ego. Stepping back from the mic with their eyes closed, taking a deep breath, changing their facial expressions and using their body as a weapon to bring out that inner artist and to give the crowd what we came to see.
A band by the name of “HotSauce” came and tore the place down before r&b-soul artist Monica Blaire took the shingles, bricks, walls, and the roof of the tiny but cozy lounge. Ms. Blair practically tore the place up leaving me the rest of those in attendance in complete awe.
This event was so spectacular and not to mention, historical. Hopefully, this one night of shinning stars can turn into an annual event that showcases the raw and untapped artistry of Detroit.

Shouts out to some of the artist that performed: Sparrow, Marsha Carter, Kari Turner, Poetic Bree, Natasha Miller aka T-Miller, Cold Men Young, Down Town Tony Brown, The Intellectual Divas, Black, Gully, Hot Sauce, and Monica Blaire to name a few.
If I forgot you, I truly apologize but know that you make me proud to say that I AM FROM THE D!

“Detroit’s Best Kept Secrets” was an overall success!
Thought of the day:
“Have you ever met someone that made you cheat on your craft?” - Sparrow, the host.
